XR Oswestry & Borders

Founded out of frustration and fear, we are a group of people who came together at an initial meeting on 4 March 2019, united by our concern for the future of humanity and the planet we live upon.

We are a friendly bunch of people, of all ages and backgrounds. We have two regular meetings a week in Oswestry.

Newcomers are welcome. If you like, you can also be assigned a buddy to guide you through your first few weeks. As well as Oswestry town, our members come from quite a wide radius – from Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant in the Tanat Valley, to Chirk in the north and Ellesmere to the east – if transport is a problem we are happy to arrange car shares (in fact we encourage it!) We work closely with groups throughout Wales and Shropshire, particularly our close neighbours: Shrewsbury, Wrexham and Llangollen.
