Who What Why
As a family of three we, Robert and Katie and young daughter Florence had a vision to make high quality, delicious wine that doesn’t cost us the environment or our world.
In 2021 we planted 4,000 Bacchus and 8,000 Pinot Noir vines on our farm in Shropshire, 20 minutes from Shrewsbury and 15 minutes from Telford. Last year we planted 40,000 more vines which took us to a total of 18ha of vineyard planted with room still to grow. We have added to our existing varieties and we now have Meurnier, Chardonnay and hybrid, Cabernet Noir too, making us the largest vineyard in Shropshire.
Protecting the environment is a key objective to growing our sustainable wines. This comes from a multifaceted view when growing the grapes to producing our wines.
As Veenow only produces wine from our own vineyard we can ensure complete control and protection to the environment and to our wine.
Every vineyard block has been planted and is managed sympathetically to the local and wider environment from planting trees, planting cover crops, managing water and more…
