Turned Wood Cafe

Veggie & plant-based cafe located on the ground floor of the historic Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and Coffee With Soul.

Situated just outside Shrewsbury town centre, the internationally important Flaxmill Maltings site reflects a time when Shropshire led the way in engineering. The site is home to eight special buildings each with a unique story to tell, including the 1797 Main Mill which is the grandparent of skyscrapers.

This remarkable piece of the industrial revolution is being restored but the new exhibition, called The Mill, and Turned Wood Cafe are now open.

Visitors can come along and experience the amazing stories of this place and it’s people by buying tickets to The Mill. Alternatively, there is no charge to simply wander the courtyards and take in the buildings in your own time and perhaps enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in the Cafe.
