Who What Why
Set up by local people, the National Trust, Plantlife and Caring for God’s Acre to create wildflower-rich meadows on Shropshire’s verges. These beautiful mini-meadows will provide habitat for wildlife, food for pollinators and store carbon.
RSVP is a volunteer group made up of individuals who care about our road verges and their potential to be amazing wildlife habitats. Our aim is to see as many of Shropshire’s verges as possible managed as long thin wildflower meadows. Supported by the Stepping Stones Project, National Trust, Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Shropshire Council. Our members manage a number of demonstration verges in south Shropshire and we are in discussions with Shropshire Council, Kier and Highways England about future approaches to road verge management in Shropshire.
