Who What Why
OsNosh was founded in 2018 by brothers Ben and Tom Wilson. We incorporated as a community interest company in 2019 and have since grown a vibrant team of volunteers and supporting staff.
OsNosh solves two problem at once: when food waste and hunger are at an all-time high, we turn food spare food into free meals for hungry people. At the same time, we build relationships with local producers to create exciting, innovative food.
We began cooking from the magnificent kitchen at Oswestry’s Holy Trinity Church in 2019, and have since transferred to The Centre. We are supported by many local food producers and businesses. Everyone is welcome to the beautiful dishes meals we make, and we especially want to provide food to those who need it most.
Since we launched this sustainable community project the response from local charities and businesses has been overwhelmingly positive and heartwarming. Every week we deliver dishes to people in need, saving food going to waste, and we share our culinary knowledge with ways cook up tasty and nutritious food for pennies.
As the OsNosh project grows we’re looking to expand our community and encourage involvement from young people, producers and business. For those who really want to get stuck in and find some skills, we offering the opportunity to volunteer for OsNosh or become part of our private catering endeavour, PoshNosh. Paid opportunities may be available for experienced kitchen workers, or the chance to gain some work experience in a professional environment.was
