Who What Why
Situated on the slopes of the Grinshill sandstone ridge there are paths and viewpoints which offer excellent panoramic views towards Shrewsbury, the Shropshire Hills and the Welsh Borders.
A maze of paths can be explored amongst these quarried sandstone edges covered in woodland. The mixed areas of conifer and broad-leaved trees provide an ideal habitat for birds and hide the evidence of past quarrying along with a wealth of geological features.
Approx 1-2.5 mile long routes. Initial walk to the view point is relatively flat and easy going so accessible by most (only suitable for all-terrain pushchairs).
Free parking available all year round.
See the Shropshire Great Outdoors website for full details.
