Who What Why
Broome Park Farm is an Award winning B&B set in a peaceful rural working farm close to Ludlow. As well as being located in stunning countryside with excellent local walks, food is home grown, waste food goes to the animals, and anything left over is composted or recycled. A fantastic location for a sustainable staycation where you can unwind from the world.
With a ‘buy local’ philosophy, Broome Park Farm supports the local community. Local produce is topped up with Fairtrade goods, supporting small communities in developing countries, particularly for tea, coffee and chocolate products that can’t be sourced locally – globally local!
Water butts gather rainwater for the gardens. Wood is gathered from the farm to use in the wood burning stoves that heat the main living rooms. Clothes are dried over a stove on a traditional Sheila maid through the winter months.
Low energy lighting is used wherever possible. Solar tubes on the roof provide hot water for the bathrooms. Photo Voltaic (PV) panels produces onsite electricity used in the house.
Cleaning products are environmentally friendly and guests are encouraged to request washing of bedding and towels, rather than automatically changing and washing them every day.
Guests wishing to travel by public transport can be picked up and dropped off in Cleobury and cycle hire can be arranged locally. Ludlow Co Wheels car hire scheme is also available, where you can hire a car by the hour or the day and pick up from Ludlow town centre.
