Who What Why
Originally part of a larger 900 acre estate with a Georgian mansion at its centre, this beautiful free access woods includes tree trails, woodland art and sculptures.
Situated over 56 acres of meadows, pools, trees and winding footpaths, Apley Woods are a fine example of a 19th century landscaped woodland.
A great place to explore nature for those who don’t wish to climb the highest mountain!
With relatively flat paths, most areas are buggy friendly, and a number of benches can be found by the paths for regular stops. Perfect place for a short walk through the trees.
The Friends of Apley Woods look after the facebook page. They are a group of volunteers involved in the conservation and protection of Apley Woods.
