Residents are being asked to give their views on the borough’s kerbside collection and Household Recycling Centre services.
Latest update from Telford and Wrekin Council Newsroom:
Telford & Wrekin Council’s recycling and waste partner, Veolia, conducts a customer satisfaction survey every three years to gain feedback on the recycling and waste services offered to residents. The services delivered include collection of paper, cardboard, plastic, tins and glass, a free garden waste collection and a weekly food waste collection alongside general waste. The borough’s two Household Recycling Centres are open 362 days a year offering recycling opportunities alongside a paid for, but affordable, bulk waste collection service.
Councillor Lee Carter (Lab), Cabinet Member for Place (the Economy & Neighbourhood Services), said:
“The waste and recycling service is a cornerstone of any council’s work. It’s one of the few council services that is used by every single resident and business and therefore a real marker of how well the council is serving its community.
“I would encourage all residents to complete this survey. Your input will help us recognise the teams that are delivering a high quality service and enable us to improve any areas that you feel need attention.”
Steve Mitchell, Regional Director for Veolia said:
“We are always striving to improve the way we deliver our services and it is crucial for us to gain feedback from residents, so we can plan to improve both the service we provide and the quality of the recycling we collect.”
The closing date to take part in the survey is Friday 17 November 2023.
