December – Sustainable Christmas Ideas
Climate Action Hub Telford are running Sustainable Sunday events once a month at Belmont Hall, Wellington, using a grant received from Telford and Wrekin Council Climate Change Fund.
Each event is FREE and will provide ideas on how to reduce impact on the planet and save money!
Every event will have:
a swap and giveaway including clothes, household items, toys, books, DVD’s etc. recycling facilities including Terracycle and recycling mobile phones, electronic gadgets, jewellery, stamps and coins (see website for full details) a new eco library of books and magazines to borrow on Nature, climate action, sustainable living and gardening vegan refreshments including drinks, sweet and savory snacks. activities and information on a particular theme e.g. energy efficient homes; sustainable fashion; eco craft activities; zero waste cooking etc. All focused on reusing and recycling waste, reducing carbon emission & saving money by sharing resources. Local organisations working on climate and Nature action will be invited to provide information about their activities and how you can get involved.
