Join us for a gentle walk to experience the joys of Forest Bathing in a Shropshire woodland.
The theme of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is ‘Nature’.
In support of this event, we are offering Forest Bathing taster sessions, to celebrate spring and the new life awakening all around us.
The walks are slow, mindfully taking time to switch off our busy brain, and to focus on the sheer beauty of nature through our physical senses. This simple practice has been shown to be very beneficial for our health and well-being, allowing the sights, sounds, smells and touch of nature to relax and inspire us.
Best of all, it’s lots of fun!
- Age 18 +
- In natural woodland, with unmade paths and uneven surfaces.
- The sessions are free – we welcome donations to Shropshire MIND, supporting Shropshire people and their families, affected by mental or emotional distress.
- This is not a hike – the pace is slow, and the level of fitness required is similar to a 90 minute visit to a supermarket. If you have any doubts about the suitability of your fitness or level of mobility for these walks, please contact Jan or Jooles in advance, and we’ll be happy to advise you.
Forest Bathing Shropshire is a collaboration between Jan and Jooles who are both trained to guide Forest Bathing through Nature and Therapy UK.

Jooles lives in Mid Wales and is a Forest Bathing Practitioner in training, and a Mindfulness teacher. She leads workshops, retreat days and mindfulness courses, and is also a Sound Healing Practitioner.
