“People in Powys and across Wales are being encouraged to help protect the environment and join Spring Clean Cymru 2022, showing that even small acts on your doorstep make a big difference.

Powys County Council is working with Keep Wales Tidy to support Spring Clean Cymru. Together they are calling on individuals, households and schools to clean-up the streets, parks or beaches on their doorstep between 25 March – 10 April.

“Powys communities always come out in force and show how much they care for their local areas. In previous years we have seen an impressive number of groups and individuals volunteering to help keep Powys clean and tidy, so we are delighted to be joining forces with Keep Wales Tidy again this year in a bid to encourage community groups to come together and join in with the 2022 Spring Clean Cymru campaign.” says Cllr Heulwen Hulme, Cabinet Member for Recycling and Waste.

“Litter picking toolkits, containing everything you need, can be borrowed from some of our libraries, so please pop in or reserve your kit online and organise a spring clean for your local area soon.”
