Take part in or organise a local litter pick. Help clean up the local environment, stop rubbish spreading further into water courses and ensure items that can be are recycled. Plus make your local area a much safer and more pleasant place to be!

There are a number of voluntary groups around the county such as Bridgnorth Litter Pickers who get together for litter picks making this useful activity a social event too. A great place to meet like minded people.

Street Champions

Telford and Wrekin Council encourage voluntary Street Champions to take up the challenge in their local area.

Street Champions are volunteers who play an active role in their community as part of Telford and Wrekin Council’s Pride in Our Community Scheme. Regular activities include litter picking events throughout the year as well as a larger event during the Great British Spring Clean.
